Plot[]

Linda becomes concerned when Gayle turns her love life into a performance art piece.

Full story[]

Gayle discusses being part of the Performance Art Collective Workshop of Performance Artists over dinner with her family as she invites them to its next show. She explains what she plans on doing for the showcase and that she's sleeping with two guys in the group: Victor and Dean.

The Belchers and Gayle have dessert in the living room. Tina asks her aunt if she plans on being committed to one guy, though Gayle brushes the idea off. Gayle gives her family necklaces decorated with colorful tampon balls she remembered making. Linda starts rubbing Bob's feet on the couch, and Bob apologizes to Gayle for having to witness it. Gayle goes to the bathroom to pee, and there, she becomes downcast as she notices Bob's and Linda's matching items. She returns to the living room to see Linda rubbing Bob's feet with a tennis ball. Linda and the kids ridicule Bob's large toenail before Gayle decides to leave abruptly. They believe Gayle left because of Bob's toenail.

The Belchers are in the restaurant as the kids are about to leave for school. Gayle arrives without notice and announces that she plans on actually getting married for her performance piece. She plans on marrying either Victor or Dean, who agreed to help, and she explains what inspired her is after seeing her sister rub a tennis ball on Bob's feet. Linda suggests Gayle shouldn't get married for the piece, but Gayle argues that she should to capitalize on being involved with two guys.

Tina, Gene, and Louise return from school to the restaurant, with their parents, Gayle, and Teddy present. Teddy offers to officiate Gayle's wedding, pointing out that he can do so, though Gayle is unsure. Gayle is in a booth while waiting to meet with Victor and Dean individually. She reminds her family and Teddy that they'll vote for her husband once she finishes.

Three hours later, after meeting with her bachelors, everyone but Linda announces the one they preferred. Bob and Louise prefer Victor, while Tina and Gene prefer Dean. Gayle convinces Teddy to smell the tennis balls she rubbed on Victor's and Dean's feet to help him decide after stating he can officiate the wedding. Linda scolds everyone for encouraging Gayle and tells her she shouldn't be rushing to marry anyone, upsetting Gayle and causing her to ban Linda from attending her wedding.

Bob drives his family to the warehouse for the performance group's showcase as Louise expresses her joy of sneaking Linda into it. Linda points out how she's wearing the tampon necklace Gayle gave her to persuade her from doing her performance piece. At the entrance of the warehouse, they find out that a security guard has a photo of Linda to ensure she doesn't come in. The Belchers go in without Linda after Bob and Linda decide to find a way to sneak her in from the back.

Bob goes to the back while his kids explore the performance pieces and discovers multiple doors. He realizes that it's for a performance piece and has trouble finding a real one. When the door opens for Linda, it's the security guard who refuses to let her in again. He returns inside as Linda finds a ladder to the roof she can use to stop the wedding.

When Bob finds the real door, he doesn't see Linda. The security guard confronts Bob and asks if he's trying to let her in, though Bob denies it and returns to the other performance pieces as he texts Linda, asking where she is. Teddy is at the front of the setup for Gayle's performance piece as Victor and Dean finish with theirs. He gets them to give him their last names for the wedding ceremony. He tells Victor he hopes Gayle doesn't marry him after hearing his complicated last name before retracting it.

On the roof, Linda hears the music starting for the wedding and witnesses Gayle's performance piece from the skylight. Gayle walks down the aisle in her bubble wrap wedding dress. Linda starts banging on the windows and shouting for Gayle, causing everyone to notice her. Gayle attempts to ignore Linda as she gets Teddy to begin his script.

As Teddy tells Gayle to pick between Victor and Dean, Gayle looks up at Linda again and notices her tampon necklace. It causes her to rush Teddy and make him ask if anyone objects to the wedding. Gayle announces that she does and that she won't marry Victor or Dean. She explains that seeing her necklace on Linda reminded her that she had made them when she was already content alone, causing her to reveal that she will marry herself. She allows Linda to come into the warehouse. Teddy gives his script to let Gayle marry herself as Linda witnesses it by Gayle's side. Once Teddy announces the marriage, Gayle pretends to make out with herself.

The Belchers drive home from the warehouse, and Linda reminisces about the wedding. Bob reveals that Gayle's speech inspired him to appreciate his toenail. His kids disapprove of it and suggest they should cut it, which Bob gives in to.
