  • This episode title contains, in parenthesis, "But Not Gory", self-referencing the show's episode "The Ring (But Not Scary)" from Season 10.
  • This episode premiered the day before Halloween (October 30) making it the joint-closest with "Heartbreak Hotel-oween" (which premiered the day after Halloween in 2020) an episode in the series has ever aired to Halloween.

  • The song "Fa De La De" was written by Scott Jacobson, John Dylan Keith, and Nora Smith and was performed by Billy Idol who Jessica's outfit was partly based on making it the second episode where a musician being costume-parodied in a Halloween episode also contributed to a song after Fiona Apple in "Pig Trouble in Little Tina."

  • Guest star Andrés du Bouchet's name is spelled without the acute accent in his first name on the end credits.
  • While the fourth graders are on their lunch break, the green Celtic knot tapestry in front of the purple building centers its design incorrectly because of a patio post in front of it that obscures and divides it.
