• This episode had a working title of "Run Belchers Run."
• This episode's airdate was only confirmed on November 11, 2015 after Fox announced that Mulaney was being moved into Bob's Burgers' timeslot and that "Friends with Burger-fits" originally scheduled to air on November 30 had been brought forward to November 16 as a result of the switch.
• The script cover and working title of this episode is a parody of the movie "Run Lola Run." This is further exemplified by the episode's solitary burger of the day which is the "Run Gorgonzola Run Burger."
• The script cover shows Gene running with red hair.
• First appearance of Ron since "My Fuzzy Valentine."
• This is the first episode that Ron appears without Hugo.
• Earlier in production all the chefs and their assistants wore chef's coats but this was changed to just Skip Marooch and his assistant. In the finished episode Bob and Linda wear aprons and Jimmy Pesto and Trev wear promotional clothing for Jimmy Pesto's Pizzeria.
• The man riding in Manny's pedicab is passed out drunk by the time Ray starts running back towards Fig Jam.
• Chuck is still bitter about the time he "graciously allowed [Bob] onto [his] morning talk show, and in turn [Bob] got [him] fired," referencing "Beefsquatch." Bob also corrects Chuck to say that it was technically Linda who got him fired by flashing the camera on live television to break up Bob and Gene's fight.
• Despite agreeing that the kids would get a day off the next day, all three of them take it the same day instead.

Goofs

• The Hot Fudge Car Wash is shown to be next to the main entrance of Wonder Wharf when Gene runs past it, however in the opening establishing shot of the food festival, it isn't present.
• Chuck Charles sings about getting a massage from his friend, Hank the masseuse, presumably a male. A masseuse is the female term for a person who performs massages professionally, a masseur is the male term.
• When the clock gets to 00:01:01 it changes to 00:00:00 instead of 00:01:00 meaning that a second was lost on the countdown.
• Mickey's shorts changes to pants after Gene steals the garlic from Louise.
