Bob's Burgers: The Movie is an upcoming musical comedy adventure movie set for release on April 9, 2021.
On July 8, 2018, Loren confirmed that the script was being written and would be turned in at the studio a few days after the show's panel at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Bouchard announced the 2020 release of the movie, he also mentioned that Kuchi Kopi and Louise would meet again inside her fantasy world.
On February 22, 2019, responding to a question posed to him on Twitter, Loren indicated that the film will contain the backstory of the origin of Louise's ears.
On April 22, 2019, the movie's title was revealed in an Instagram post from editor Cris Mertens.
In November 2019, the movie was briefly absent from Disney and 20th Century Fox's movie release schedule but was soon rectified.
On April 3, 2020, it was announced that the movie was being delayed nine months until April 2021.
John Roberts later confirmed the delay was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the cast not being able to record dialog.
November 12, 2020: creator Loren Bouchard says the movie has been hard to make during COVID-19, but still really fun. He says that it will be "more likely, the movie they wanted to see", instead of having to rush it. He also mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic has given the crew more time to improve the film. Bouchard promises the animation quality will have a significant improvement over the show.
Also on November 12th, John Roberts spoke out about the movie. He described the movie as "big and beautiful" stating "The artwork is gorgeous, and there's a lot for the fans, and there are great songs and great moments for the characters. And it's big."
