Trivia[]
- The game is a parody of Burger Time, mostly the protagonist being a chef, the enemies being food and the word burger being in the title.
- It is also reminiscent of Super Mario Bros. as it involves a mustached character platforming many levels to save a princess.
- The fact that the cabinet features different styles of art depicting the character Burgerboss is a reference to the 1981 video game, Donkey Kong.
- The game can be considered from the mid-1980s by the quality of it's graphics, chiptune music and gameplay.
- It is implied that Burgerboss is a still-thriving franchise or at least a very popular game in a manner as in the episode Bad Tina, a student is seen holding a Burgerboss lunchbox.
