Full story[]
The Belchers are in the apartment kitchen, eating breakfast together. Tina talks about her "UB" or "upper part of the butt area" plans at Chelsea's party. Linda says the best part about her Saturday night dances at a recreation center was that every person danced. Tina remembers that Jimmy Jr. will be at Chelsea's party and talks about how he will still come despite his week-long sinus infection.
At school, Tina overhears Tammy and Jocelyn talking about the party at their lockers. She joins their conversation, and Tammy reveals the last song at the party will be "Sweet Love Sugar" and tells an absorbed Tina that if two partners continue slow dancing during the fast parts of the song, they're guaranteed to touch each other's UB. Tammy warns her friends the song will come after "Funky Farmer Fred."
Teddy comes to Bob's for a Burger of the Day, and Linda and Louise tell Teddy how someone left pallets in the alley dumpster last night and that they turned it into a building competition down there, which interests him. Teddy decides to join the competition, and Bob tries to remind him that they're closing soon as Teddy runs out of the front door to get supplies for his piece.
Tina, Tammy, and Jocelyn arrive at Chelsea's house together, and Tammy cheers for her friends' UB plans as they separate. Tina comes up to Jimmy Jr., and he apologizes for not responding to her texts, telling her he's been resting up for the party. Tina tries to tell Jimmy Jr. what she texted him, but people start joining in on the music by singing "Stir the Pot" and forming a cluster, which drowns her out and prevents her from reaching Jimmy Jr.
Bob, Gene, and Louise are in the restaurant kitchen, cleaning up the restaurant for closing time, with Linda entering later. They hear Teddy making sounds in the basement, concerned about what's happening there.
When a slow song starts playing at Chelsea's party, Tina tries getting Jimmy Jr.'s attention but realizes she and her upper butt are sweaty. Tina finds Chelsea's laundry room and dries her skirt in the drying machine while wearing a towel around her waist. The machine won't budge open when it finishes drying, and Tina can't get her skirt out. Sam enters the laundry room and looks down, confused by why Tina's wearing a towel. Sam tries to help Tina open the machine, but neither manages to do it. Sam suggests getting Chelsea to help, but he realizes Chelsea might be too occupied with dancing to help.
Teddy leads the Belcher family down to the basement, revealing what he made: a room replicating the dining area of Bob's Burgers made out of pallets. Gene decides to rename the area to "Trash Pallet Bob's." Teddy remembers that he never got to eat his burger, and although Bob is initially unwilling, they decide that Teddy can eat in the basement.
Tina decides to give up on trying to budge the drying machine door open, but she expresses how she can't miss another slow song. Tina tries to let Sam go, telling him he doesn't have to suffer in the laundry room with her, but he reveals why he doesn't want to dance with everyone. Chelsea's cat enters the room and poops in its litter box, which makes Tina and Sam cover their noses.
Dalton, Other Jennifer, and Greg show up at the restaurant and ask Linda if it is still open. Louise exploits the situation and her parents' hesitation by telling them they have a secret underground restaurant in the basement. Dalton texts a few other people to come along as he and his entourage enter the restaurant and the basement.
When the second slow song starts playing, Tina, who wrapped dirty socks around the towel to ensure it didn't fall, tells Sam she will head out now. She tries telling her classmate he should be outside the laundry room, dancing with everyone else. Sam tells Tina he'll try and scoop the cat poop out of the litter box instead, but when it's too disgusting for him to do so, Tina decides to do it. However, Tina falls into the litter box when she tries to prevent the towel covering her from slipping. Tina washes what she fell into using the laundry room's sink, but the problem is that her shirt's very wet now, and the drying machine doesn't work.
Linda is seating new customers entering the basement while serving Dalton and his entourage their meals. Bob, uncomfortable with this plan, yells down from the kitchen and tells his family to hurry up with the orders.
While Tina is trying to "air-dry" her shirt by fanning it with her hand, Sam suggests unplugging and plugging the laundry machine to restart it. His plan works, and the washing machine opens. Tina changes back into her skirt as Sam looks the other way and puts a box on his head, humming so he can't hear Tina change.
New customers come by the restaurant and pay Gene and Louise to experience the basement's pallet restaurant.
New customers come by the restaurant and pay Gene and Louise to experience the basement's pallet restaurant. After drying her shirt in the machine, Tina prepares to leave the laundry room as "Funky Farmer Fred" starts playing. Tina asks Sam once more if he's sure he wants to stay in the room alone, but Sam assures her he'll be out in a minute. As the song plays, Tina walks to Jimmy Jr., ready for "T to get some UB." Tammy and Jocelyn suddenly jump into Tina's view, and Tammy, who's trying to ask her where she's been, tries to block Tina until Tina scares them away. Tina walks towards Jimmy Jr. again as "Sweet Love Sugar" starts playing, but she looks back at the laundry room and realizes Sam isn't leaving. She thinks about what her mom said at breakfast.
Tina returns to the laundry room and tells Sam to dance with her, telling him there'll be no upper butt plans. Tina leads Sam out of the laundry room and starts dancing to the song. Sam tells her that he likes it, but the tempo of the song speeds up, and everyone around them starts jumping and dancing faster to the music. Tina tells Sam not to think about it as they jump to the music with everyone else.
Bob is down in the basement with his family and Teddy, stating he changed his mind about the basement restaurant after seeing the money it made them. Everyone seems on board with keeping it until Gene discovers bugs on the pallets. Teddy tells the family how bark beetles like to lay their eggs in the pallets, and Linda and Louise start discovering egg sacs. Everyone changes their mind about Trash Pallet Bob's, and they hurriedly return the pallets to the alley.
When the music is over and parents are picking their kids up, Sam tells Tina he managed to dance at a dance party. Sam points out that Jimmy Jr. is still at the party and suggests that Tina sit beside him. Sam gets a text from his mom that tells him she's here. He hurriedly leaves and thanks Chelsea for inviting him, and Tina says goodbye to Sam. Tina sits next to Jimmy Jr., asking him how he's doing. Jimmy Jr. tells her that his sinus infection might've not cleared up but still asks Tina if she had fun at the party. Tina confirms she did "in a different way than she thought." He asks Tina if he can rest his head on her shoulder, and she nervously allows him to do so. Jimmy Jr. then asks Tina if she has any soup. She confirms she doesn't, and he says that's okay.
