I always wanted one of these. A nice male escort.

"Colon-ly the Dronely" is the third episode in Season 15, being the two-hundred-and-seventy-ninth episode overall.

Plot[]

Linda agrees to drive Teddy to pick up Kathleen from her colonoscopy after he accidentally injures himself. Meanwhile, the kids concoct a scheme to prank an overhead drone which is set to film the school from above.

Full story[]

The episode begins with Bob taking a morning shower and being surprised by the shampoo bottle's emptiness. With nothing else, he uses an unfamiliar French bottle of shampoo he finds on top of the toilet, though he quickly starts liking it due to its pleasant smell.

When Bob and Linda call for their kids for breakfast, Tina points out how good her dad's hair looks. Bob explains how he used the French shampoo, which disappoints Linda since she had planned to use it, and Bob had used up all of it. Linda reveals that she found it in the dumpster, which shocks Bob and Tina.

When the Belcher kids are at school, Mr. Frond makes his morning announcements and informs everyone that recess after lunch has been canceled and that any student who goes outside during this time will be punished. This gets negative feedback from all the students.

At the restaurant, Teddy and Mort compliment Bob's hair until Mort returns to his place to hold a funeral soon. Teddy explains that he must also leave to finish his job early so he can pick up Kathleen in the afternoon. Linda recalls that Kathleen is having a colonoscopy today and praises Teddy for Kathleen's trust in him. Teddy brings up the tasks he did in anticipation of the occasion. He mocks Kathleen's cousin Muriel for not being the one for Kathleen to call before bringing up her niceness.

While transitioning classes, Gene and Louise express their annoyance over the lack of recess until they overhear Mr. Frond and Mr. Branca speaking in the janitor's closet. They hear Mr. Frond explaining the school's plan to have a drone operator film a video of the school during recess time. Gene and Louise decide they must make a plan to ruin the video.

Linda gets a call from Teddy, who reveals that he's in the emergency room because of the injuries he got from his job. He asks Linda to help him pick up Kathleen, clarifying that she needs to drive them to Kathleen for him to pick her up, which Linda agrees to do.

Between classes, the Belcher kids, the Pesto siblings, Zeke, and Peter Pescadero secretly meet to plan how to ruin the school's drone shoot. Jimmy Jr. and Peter suggest they should all dance in the video, which Louise disapproves of, pointing out the school won't use the video if they get noticed. Louise explains the plan to use the fake bushes and fog machine from the school's storage area outside to create a farting bush butt. Zeke also joins in on wanting to dance until Louise shuts them down again.

Linda arrives at Deveraux General to pick up Teddy. After seeing the dirty state of her car, they decide to go to where he worked to get his truck instead.

Four mourners from Mort's crematorium come to Bob's Burgers to eat. As Bob seats them and hands them their menus, he gets the attention of the older man in the group, and they all start whispering in Arabic. To himself, Bob suspects that they're talking about him. Bob can't think of why they'd be talking about him, and they begin staring at him.

While Linda drives herself and Teddy in his truck to the clinic where Kathleen is, Linda goes faster after the clinic tells Teddy that Kathleen is already in the recovery room. A police officer quickly stops her.

The kids are at lunch with multiple faculty members monitoring the area to make sure none of them go outside. Louise tells her siblings and friends that they should be going to the storage room by one. The idea of dancing in the video gets brought up again, with Tina and Gene also being excited about it.

As the officer is about to point out how fast Linda was speeding, Linda quickly apologizes and explains that she's driving to pick up Kathleen from her colonoscopy. This gets the officer's attention, and he reveals how he once picked up his grandmother from her colonoscopy. The officer allows himself to escort Linda and Teddy while pointing out how he loves to give escorts. As they resume their drive, a distracted Linda almost immediately hits the back of the officer's car. Another officer comes, and the first one nervously tells Linda not to reveal that he was escorting them. The second officer starts questioning Linda until Teddy admits that it was his fault for the accident, pointing out that they were going to the clinic to pick up Kathleen from the hospital. Hearing this, the second officer suspects his colleague was doing a favor for them.

The kids are at the storage area, with Louise trying to find the fog machine while the Pesto siblings, Zeke, and Peter dance.

After Bob serves the mourners their food, two of the younger ones explain how they had just come from their mom's funeral before pointing out that he smells like their mom. One of them translates what their dad is saying, asking if Bob knows why he does. Bob excuses himself to call Linda.

As the two officers discuss the accident, Linda gets a call from Bob. Bob explains what the family told them, and Linda reveals that she got the shampoo specifically from Mort's dumpster. After the call, Teddy reveals that he called Muriel to pick up Kathleen instead. Linda apologizes for what they've been through. Teddy assures her that it's okay, but hearing him explain how he wants to pick up Kathleen because of how much he cares about her, Linda decides that they'll continue to pick up Kathleen. She manages to convince the officers to escort them, with the second one telling the first that this will be his last escort.

The two officers are escorting Linda and Teddy. Teddy reveals that he can't get ahold of Muriel to tell her they'll resume picking her up again, worrying Teddy that she'll arrive at the clinic before them.

Having everything ready, the kids sneak out of the school by having Gene distract Mr. Branca, who's guarding the entrance. Louise plugs the fog machine by the door.

Bob reveals to the mourning family what Linda had told him and apologizes if he upset them. One of the dad's kids translates what her dad tells her and asks if Bob would let him smell his hair.

Linda, Teddy, and the police officers arrive at the clinic as a nurse wheels Kathleen out on a wheelchair. Kathleen is clueless about why there are officers. Teddy and Linda see that Muriel has also just arrived, so Linda goes to occupy her and let Teddy pick up Kathleen himself.

As Teddy wheels Kathleen into the truck, the mourning father simultaneously smells Bob's hair, and the drone operator begins to shoot the video, with the bushes and fog machine in place and the kids hiding behind the bushes. Seeing her downcast and bored siblings and friends, Louise changes her mind and lets them dance. They all do different dances, and Louise spins around with the fog machine. Mr. Frond runs from the school's main lot to try to stop them. Linda, Teddy, and Kathleen are driving from the clinic, with Kathleen resting on the pillows he arranged for her and eating some of her favorite snacks he got for her. The dad inhales the scent of Bob's hair, and they both shed tears. Bob lets the father's children also smell his hair.

A week later, the Belcher kids are watching the drone video from Wagstaff's website with their parents in the living room. Louise figures that Mr. Frond hoped no one would notice.
