Ethel is the mother of Spencer, who lived in a mansion on King's Head Island before selling it in "Mo Mommy Mo Problems." She makes her first and only appearance with her son in the same episode.

Ethel lived in her old mansion for sixty years, where she got married, raised Spencer, and learned taxidermy. Once her husband passed away and Spencer moved out, she lived alone. When her son starts trying to get her to sell the house, she tries her hardest to scare away buyers or prevent them from wanting to buy her home ("Mo Mommy Mo Problems").
