  • This is the first episode to be directed by Bernard Derriman since "Paraders of the Lost Float."
  • This is the first season premiere since "Work Hard or Die Trying, Girl" to have a cold open. Coincidentally, both episodes are written by Nora Smith. It is also the first episode in Season 14 where Teddy doesn't appear, and even more coincidentally "Work Hard or Die Trying, Girl" was the first episode of Season 5 where Teddy didn’t appear.

  • This is the first anthology episode where none of the Belcher children tell a story, although Louise tries to change the trajectory of it multiple times.
  • Despite punishing her kids by forbidding them from watching T.V., Linda tells them she would never do this in "Sheshank Redumption" (except if they tell anyone at Wagstaff about her pooping in a bush).
  • The first time Linda and Bob wanted the kids to do chores was in "Brunchsquatch," but none of them wanted to make the chore wheel.
