Release[]

On October 2, 2025, the Behind Bob's Burgers YouTube account released a collage music video of the song, combining clips from multiple episodes to sing part of the song, some slower to match the tune.[1]

Description[]

In "Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening," Tina, Gene, and Louise make the song for a new band they formed outside of the Itty Bitty Ditty Committee called "Bus Boy and the Cuss Girls." They sing it in the basement as Gene plays his Casio while Tina and Louise use items from the restaurant to make music, like pots and utensils. They use a recorder Peter Pescadero took from his brother to record themselves playing. As they sing, Bob and Linda are in the restaurant as Bob decides whether to increase the prices of his burgers, the song's lyrics unintentionally influencing him. Throughout the episode, the kids continue playing as it shows Bob and Linda when they bought the restaurant.

When the kids finish their project, while Tina and Gene initially express doubt, they upload it online, hoping it's popular.

The song also plays in the End Credits Sequence of "Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening," which is a cover of the song by Jack Black, John Kimbrough, Scott Seiver, and John Spiker. The credits show the Belchers aging in the restaurant since Tina's birth as Gene and Louise are born.

# "Grease and Fear" Singers
Gather 'round, we're gonna tell you a story (Ooh...)
Tina & Louise; (Gene)
About a lady and a burger boy (Ooh...)
Tina & Louise; (Gene)
For some crazy reason, don't know why (Ooh...)
Tina & Louise; (Gene)
Wanted to open up a restaurant
Tina & Louise
That ruined all our lives
Tina, Gene, & Louise
I guess they wanted that life (that life) (Oh, yeah)
Tina; (Louise); (Gene)
They opened up a restaurant
Tina & Louise
That ruined all our lives (Oh, yeah)
Tina, Gene, & Louise; (Tina)
Seems like they wanted that life
Tina
Burger lady, burger man
Tina & Louise
What were you thinking?
Tina & Louise
What was the plan?
Tina
Why would any rational person want (any rational person want)
Tina; (Louise)
To open a restaurant?
Tina & Louise
There was once a man who dreamed a dream
Louise
A dream of burgers
Louise
Of beef, tomatoes, lettuce, and some buns
Louise
But sometimes, dreaming burger dreams
Louise
And dreams of burgers
Louise
Can make your burger dreamer come undone
Louise
Not talking well-done
Louise
Not talking medium well-done
Louise
We're saying burger dreams can make you come undone
Louise
Have you ever smelled a man who stands
Louise
Near a greasy grill all day long?
Louise
He smells like grease and fear
Louise
Grease and fear
Tina, Gene, & Louise
Grease and fear
Tina, Gene, & Louise
Have you ever met a woman who sleeps
Louise
Near a man who smells like grease and fear?
Louise
She smiles a lot
Louise
Just to pretend
Tina, Gene, & Louise
She doesn't mind the smell
Tina, Gene, & Louise
But you know that she minds the smell (Oh, she does)
Louise; (Tina & Gene)
How can you not mind the smell of
Louise
Grease and fear?
Louise

Release[]

On September 26, 2025, two days before the premiere of "Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening," Billboard released an article for the Bob's Buskers cover of "Grease and Fear," sharing the music video for it from the Behind Bob's Burgers YouTube channel. Black covers the song with Kimbrough, Seiver, and Spiker.[2][3]

Description[]

The music video features Black, Kimbrough, Seiver, and Spiker on a dark stage illuminated by spotlights, with the musicians on cylindrical podiums of different heights. Kimbrough plays the guitar, Seiver plays the drums, and John Spiker plays the bass. Everyone but Black wears yellow unitards underneath burger suits resembling Gene's, while Black wears a white unitard with a cape with rhinestones on it that make a burger. Singing burgers that sing as a chorus and provide background vocals are on similar platforms.

The video starts with a chorus of the burgers singing, and the musicians abruptly play their instruments as their podiums rise and Black's rises from the ground. When Black is out, he starts singing with a microphone as the musicians play, making his way to a podium with some of the singing burgers as the burgers start jumping as the song speeds up as Black actively dances for the rest of the song until the music slows down at line 20 until its end, where Black stands as he sings as floating burgers surround Black.
