Harry Jon Benjamin[1] (more commonly known as H. Jon Benjamin or Jon Benjamin) is an American voice actor, best known for his roles in Archer, Home Movies, and Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, the latter two being Loren Bouchard's animated shows. Benjamin currently voices Bob Belcher in Loren Bouchard's animated comedy, Bob's Burgers, Reginald the Jewelry Store Owner in WordGirl, and Sterling Archer in the FX animated comedy Archer. In the season 4 premiere of Archer, there was a crossover episode of Bob's Burgers and Archer.
In addition to his voice work on the show, he also co-wrote the episodes "The Land Ship" and "Secret Admiral-irer" with Holly Schlesinger and co-wrote the story for "Cheer Up, Sleepy Gene" also with Schlesinger.
Reception[]
Critics have praised the voice work and character of Bob, although many critics have compared him to Benjamin's work in FX's Archer, calling it distracting.
This comparison was also made in an episode of Family Guy where Carl, a character also voiced by Benjamin did impressions of both Bob Belcher and Sterling Archer as part of a stand up comedy act.
