"Hamburger Dinner Theater" is the fifth episode in Season 1, being the fifth episode overall.

Plot

Bob reluctantly lets Linda and the kids stage a musical murder mystery dinner theater in the restaurant, but on opening night, an abrupt interruption changes the play's creative direction.

When Linda is preparing to go to a strip club, Bob finds out she is really going to another dinner theater as she loves musicals. Bob is slightly annoyed at the idea as Linda won't stop doing musical numbers whenever she goes to a dinner theater, but reluctantly lets her. Linda decides to host a dinner theater at the restaurant, but Mort's decision to make the play too gory with his "props" of guts halts her plans.

The next night, Linda attempts to have another performance until a bank robber shows up at the worst time for the Belchers. He robs their money while performing a musical number so he doesn't look suspicious to the customers. After he leaves, the play gets positive responses from customers, but Bob decides to have the robber arrested for stealing their money. With Linda unhappy with Bob's decision, she does the dinner theater again with the audience being disappointed that the robber doesn't show up until Bob comes in from the kitchen dressed as a robber, while everyone leaves unhappy with the performance, just like the first night.
