Bob's Burgers Wiki

Trivia[]

  • Table read date: October 6, 2017.
  • The title is a play on the common phrase, I beg your pardon.
  • A scene from this episode was screened at the show's panel at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con International.[1]
  • Like in other scenes where the refrigerator is opened it opens to the left with the handle on the right unlike when it is not used the handle is on the left and therefore should open to the right.
  • First episode in Season 9 where Teddy doesn't appear.
  • "The Quirk-ducers" previously brings up how the day before Thanksgiving is a half day at Wagstaff.
  • City Hall appears for the first time, it was previously featured in Bob and Linda's wedding photo in their bedroom and on the quilt in "Bobby Driver." Since this episode was produced first, City Hall was probably meant to appear in this episode first before appearing on the quilt in "Bobby Driver" given that the other squares on the quilt were references to previously seen places/events in the series.
  • The Belchers travel east along I-55 (which in reality runs from Louisiana to Illinois). Place names on the signs seen are Bog Harbor, Sharpestone Beach, and Plumagussett Drive where the car veers off to.
  • Double Butt and his owner both appear again after first appearing in "Stand by Gene."
  • Louise dubs Drew P. Neck James van der Beak in reference to actor James van der Beek. Gene then says "We're just trying to get him back to his creek", a reference to Beek starring in Dawson's Creek.
  • On Thanksgiving Day 2018, regular collaborators indie band The National released a music video of their cover version of "Save the Bird" from this episode.
  • As Ralph eavesdrops on the Belchers before they rescue the turkey, he says "Well somebody better call Huey Lewis because I may have found myself some news" which is a reference to the band Huey Lewis and The News.
  • Gene references book/film "The Cider House Rules", though he seems to think the last word is an adjective rather than a noun.

Goofs[]

  • Both times Marsha drives by the Belchers' car, her right ear appears exposed rather than her left as it is in other shots.
  • Some On Demand airings use the ending of Bobby Driver instead of the Normal ending for some reason
