Nora Smith is an American writer, animator, and producer.

Production Roles[]

Smith works primarily as a writer on Bob's Burgers.

Smith replaced Loren Bouchard as a character designer for the last five aired episodes of Season 1, from "Spaghetti Western and Meatballs" to "Torpedo."

Smith has often been involved in the creation of songs/musical numbers on the show including the Harry Truman song from "Mother Daughter Laser Razor" and Happy/Crappy place from "Late Afternoon in the Garden of Bob & Louise."[1]

Smith also designed the main titles for the show in collaboration with Rustam Bekmuradov.

In March 2019, Smith signed a multi-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV resulting in her being promoted to co-showrunner alongside Loren Bouchard to replace the retiring Jim Dauterive. At the same time, it was revealed that she had co-written the upcoming Bob's Burgers: The Movie with Bouchard.[2] Smith is also the co-creator of Central Park with Josh Gad and Loren Bouchard, the animated musical sitcom for Apple TV+, originally for Fox.
