• The title of this episode is a reference to the 1984 album and movie Purple Rain, starring Prince.
• Patsy's bass guitar appears to be a MusicMan Stingray.
• The Bad Hair Day guitarist plays a Gibson SG and their bassist plays a Fender Precision.
• Gayle's high school locker has a picture of a cat inside it.
• Gayle wears the same outfit that she wore 25 years ago at the reunion, as well as a neon pink fanny pack and her glasses.
• Teddy appears briefly in the restaurant while The Ta Tas are practicing but doesn't have any lines making it the first time he appears but doesn't speak.
• Three of the women in Linda's fitness class are the three women seen in the prenatal yoga video Linda watches in Synchronized Swimming, although not pregnant like they were in the video.
• The members of Bad Hair Day's yearbook photo's can be seen in the yearbook that opens when Linda introduces The Ta Tas. Goofs

• When The Ta Tas are in the dressing room, Nancy is holding the Bad Hair Day guitarist's SG rather than her own guitar.
• In the first full shot of The Ta Tas after Gayle rejoins, her microphone is missing.
• During the first shot of The Ta Tas during the End Credits Sequence, Angie's microphone is missing.
• When Tina gets ready to tickle Jen, the baby-sitter, Louise has her arms folded. Next shot she has them by her side.
• While the end credits roll, the kids and Jen join the Ta Tas onstage and dance. None of them have black eyes anymore.
