Bob's Burgers Wiki

The second season of Bob's Burgers first aired on March 11, 2012, and aired its season finale on May 20, 2012. It consists of nine episodes, so far being the lowest number of episodes in a season. The second season was released on DVD-R media discs via Amazon.com's Manufactured on Demand (MOD) service on May 7, 2013.

Production[]

On April 7, 2011, Fox announced that they had ordered thirteen episodes for a second production season. In July, 2011, at the San Diego Comic Convention, the staff announced that they were given a nine-episode script order in addition to the thirteen episodes, which was ordered for full episodes on October 31, 2011. At the convention, the staff gave out information on what episodes were going on throughout the season, such as a Goonies parody where the kids explore an abandoned taffy factory, Bob getting involved with a hostage situation, learning about synchronized swimming, and entering the food truck industry. They also mentioned that they expected all secondary characters to return.

The second season's DVD cover features a small error in which it shows Gene and Louise in costumes from episodes in the third season. This is most likely because the episodes the costumes are from, have a second season production code.

This is the first season to:

  • To be animated overseas at Yeson Entertainment and Hanho Heung Up
  • To be animated traditionally using Toon Boom Harmony
  • To have the Wilo Productions and Buck & Millie Productions logo at the end. The Buck & Millie Productions logo would remain until Worms of In-Rear-ment.
