Full story[]
One night, Bob and Louise are doing their "burn unit", which involves taking turns doing harsh critiques on TV shows. Gene comes in just when they land on Bob's favorite movie, Banjo, and he insists that they pause "burn unit" and just watch and enjoy. Gene does enjoy it, and father and son enjoy bonding; unfortunately, Louise gets jealous. Meanwhile, Bob and Linda are responsible for catering the conflict-resolution spaghetti dinner at the kids' school, a job Linda takes very seriously because of her rivalry with fellow PTA-member Colleen Caviello. Tina and Jimmy Jr. are both members of Mr. Frond's conflict-resolution club; during one meeting, Tina displays her lingering crush on Jimmy Jr. and warns Jocelyn to stay away from him.
Downstairs in the restaurant, Bob reveals that he has bought the entire collection of Banjo on DVD; Louise fumes and attempts to destroy it. Gene starts playing on Louise's toy guitar like Banjo when he decides to counter-attack his rival, Choo-Choo. Louise gets tired of it and starts a food fight in the cafeteria during lunchtime. The ensuing mayhem makes Mr. Frond ban Bob from serving at the event, angering Linda. Gene, Louise, and Choo-Choo are sent to detention for the food fight, and Choo-Choo decides to fight Gene outside. Bob decides to stop the fight from happening, until Choo-Choo's dad runs into the fight and chases Bob while he takes Gene and Louise away from the fight. While they hide in a slide, Bob reprimands Louise harshly for her bratty behavior until she finally explains that she had just missed hanging out with her dad and brother, preferring them to "the menstruation nation" (aka her mother and sister).
In the end, they resolve their problems as Bob decides to serve the spaghetti dinner by showing Mr. Frond how he can "work on his A.B.S." Mr. Frond allows it and the spaghetti dinner happens—complete with another food fight as the episode ends with the Banjo theme.
