The kids go to the local go-karting track, but find it is closed to customers for the day for league racing. The kids find the idea of league racing exciting, but encounter Bryce, who does not recognize them from the Halloween they encountered him and throws raisins at them. He tells them the only way to get in is with a kart, but the custom ones cost a grand at least. While deciding how to get sponsorship for a goo-kart, they encounter Mr. Fischoeder, who instead offers to sell them a broken-down bumper car to convert, that they buy for three dollars. They take it to the One-Eyed Snakes' garage, where Critter offers to customize it for free to thank them for letting his and Mudflap's child to be born in their restaurant. With the new half-bumper car/half go-kart, the kids enter it into the league.
At the track, they encounter Bryce, who mocks them and points out that he is in A-league, while they are starting out in B-league. Before the race, they realize they didn't settle who was login to drive. Since Gene always crashes into a wall into a motorcycle arcade game, and Tina damaged the car in a parking lot while driving it, they all draw hairs off Gene's mole, with Louise getting the longest. In the race itself, Louise loses control of the unwieldy kart and loses. Gene becomes friends with Gus the flag-waver who offers to train him. Louise is frustrated with the cart and Tina takes it for a lap, effortlessly driving it around turns instead of bumping and getting the attention of the Kingshead Island Speeders, but Louise refuses to let her drive. At another ace, Tina is watching from the sidelines when Sasha and the other Kingshead races approach her and offer her a chance to drive the K.I.S. kart while their regular driver is in detention. The team and art are already in A-league, meaning that with the kart's speed and Tina's skill, there's a chance to knock Bryce off the top spot.
Tina agrees and joins K.I.S., to Louise's horror and anger at being betrayed. Despite weirding Sasha out by talking to the kart, Tina manages second place. That night at dinner, Tina and Louise keep fighting, and Louise reveals that while they are not racing each other now, if Louise wins in B-league, she gets to race in the Kingshead Island Grand Prix with the A-league. Louise starts racing better, moving up in the ranks until reaching the first spot. On the day of the Kingshead Island Grand Prix, the sisters are in the race while their parents and Critter watch, and Gus lets Gene flap for the one race. Before the race, Bryce taunts Louise and points out smoke coming from the back of the bumper kart. Critter ties up the blown pump but without his tool set he cannot fix it more. As the race goes on, Louise manages to get the kart to the front of the pack with Bryce and Tina. However, Bryce intentionally bumps into her art, causing the handkerchief tying up the lines to fall off. In anger, Tina pushes Bryce so he goes isn the hay on the side. But a wheel falls off of the belcher kart, and Louise spins into a backwards position. Tina, torn between her loyalty to K.I.S. and her family chooses to help push Louise over the finish line first. That night, Tina and Louise both sleep in Louise's bed with the first-place trophy.
At the restaurant, Teddy brings over two friends of his from a home-brew supply shop, and reveals he's been brewing his own beer. Teddy suggest to Bob that they sell his beer I the restaurant which Bob refuses, as restaurants aren't legally allowed to sell home-brewed beer (that is fermented in a bucket), but changes his mind when tasting the beer with one of his burgers. Soon the beer is a success, and the restaurant is packed. however, Hugo and Ron soon arrive for an inspection, and when Hugo notices the yeast smell, Bob says they started baking bread but threw it out. Hugo heads isn the basement, narrowly missing Teddy and the brewing equipment, and leaves after threatening to shut them down and revoke their beer & wine license. Bob refuses to end the speakeasy, and sine tad says they should start making their own bread for real. The trio start baking their own bread as Hugo stakes them out. Later, Hugo notes the bread tastes stale, while Gretchen almost blows the cover by pointing out the difference in buns. Bob and Linda lie and state they are starting to serve breakfast to use the buns, with Hugo saying he will be there at 6 a.m. The next morning, Hugo and Ron are finishing breakfast at Bob's burgers, when Hugo says that they both know bOb is slinging home-brew, but Hugo's supervisor is planning to fire him if he wastes more time on the case harassing Bob, and leaves. Bob and Linda decide to quit.
