Bob's Burgers Wiki

The Store next Door is the storefront next to Bob's Burgers on the opposing side from Mort's It's Your Funeral Home & Crematorium. Similar to "It's Your Funeral," this storefront also features clever word play, but unlike the Belchers' long-time steady neighbor Mort, it is a revolving door of businesses, often so temporary the sign is crudely painted on a cloth banner. A different business is shown to occupy this storefront in every episode, and thus it is one of the running gags in the show. The following is a list of these doomed ventures:

Trivia[]

  • A vacant, stylized version of this storefront is featured in the Archer season 4 premiere, "Fugue and Riffs."
  • Usually after the opening credits, the store, if seen, would be vacant in the episode.
  • However, in "Uncle Teddy" Bob mentions the store, then called "CARL'S PRE-OWNED INDOOR OUTHOUSES".
  • And in "Burger War" the store called "ROCKY REFUGE" was brought up when Mr. Fischoeder says "I rent to a Raccoon Sanctuary" and Bob replies "I've been meaning to talk to you about that"
  • While in "Nightmare on Ocean Avenue Street" the store, then called THOSE WHO CAN, DLE CANDLES", was featured throughout the episode. As well as having the inside of the store shown, which happens very rarely.
    • The store was again featured in "A Fish Called Tina" as a gym called "PUMPING PATCH FITTNESS"
    • It was also previously used in "Sacred Cow" as the place where Randy was staying while filming his documentary. The storefront (then vacant) was used as an editing bay.
    • Like many of the places on Ocean Avenue, Mr. Calvin Fischoeder is the landlord for the store. He and the Belchers used it for a play depicting Calvin, his brother Felix and their father in "To Bob, or Not to Bob" in an attempt to anger Felix.
    • It was used as a VR arcade in "Ready Player Gene" but was likely shut down because of Nick's poor management.
