Susmita is one of the brightest and most diligent students at Wagstaff, and Mr. Desanto suggests she's far from slacking in his photography class. She and Tina Belcher befriend each other when Ms. Jacobson pairs them for the school's eighth-grade science fair, and while partnered together, Tina also helps Susmita ask out Henry Haber. While her relationship with Henry is notable, playing a significant part in "Fast Time Capsules at Wagstaff School," they stopped dating after three weeks and two days ("Don't Stop Be-cheesin'").
