In Season 13, press releases for individual episodes credit the character as "Uncle Teddy."[1] This continues in Season 14.[2]
Using information surrounding any aliases of him, his full name could be Theodore J. McGillicuddy.
He implies his last name begins with a J (or he may be Teddy Jr.) when he tells the kids they could call him T.J. ("Uncle Teddy"). In "Thelma & Louise Except Thelma is Linda," he lies about having a wife and gives her name as Karen McGillicuddy, an implication that this may be his last name. On Funko's website, Teddy's official Pop! figurine is referred to as Teddy Francisco, but this was confirmed to be an error on Funko's part.[3]
Though it's slightly hard to hear it in his voice, he has a New York accent.
He drives a green pickup truck with a cream stripe running long it. It appears to be a 1971 Ford F-Series.
At the 2020 Comic-Con@Home panel, Louren Bouchard revealed he had originally named him "Rudy," but felt like "Teddy" was a more funny name for a big guy.
In "Better Off Sled," he planned to drink eighteen cups of coffee at Bob's Burgers in one day because he would be plowing eighteen parking lots.
In "Crows Encounters of the Bird Kind," his behavior after drinking an unspecific amount of coffee worried Linda, and she suggested he drink decaf instead. He reacted by shouting he'd rather be dead.
He and his family have a history of making alcohol:
He went to bartending school for four years ("The Helen Hunt"), though he doesn't know how to make a Mai Tai, so he might not have retained anything meaningful.
He appears to be religious as he has intentions to watch church on TV in "Christmas in the Car" and has intentions to attend midnight mass in "Father of the Bob." His mother apparently pressures him to go more often, and he considers using the example of him plowing snow in the church parking lot as him attending church. ("Better Off Sled")
Despite not being Jewish, he plays on a Jewish ice hockey team called The Mighty Schmucks, meaning he plays hockey.
In "Turkey in a Can," he mentions that his father potty-trained him when he was seven and finally learned when he was fourteen.
He has had the same cell phone for over ten years, which currently only charges up to 23%. ("The Gene Mile")
According to Louise's story in "Sliding Bobs," he was still attractive when Bob and Linda met, this means he starred in The Deepening 3D and started gaining weight after Bob and Linda met.
He is shown to be a hockey fan as he plays it, frequently talks about it and watches it on both his TV and on his radio.
In "Bed & Breakfast," he reveals he had an intense fear of costumed characters after seeing his ex-wife Denise make out with Sammy Sea Lion. He resolves his issue in the same episode and almost went out a man in an animal costume before learning he was a man.
He enjoys Linda's stories about the raccoons that live in the alley and is able to tell them apart. He describes the stories as being similar to an HBO miniseries. ("Eggs for Days")
Bob might have kissed him before. In "They Serve Horses, Don't They?," Gene tells Hugo to dare Bob to kiss him. Louise adds to make Bob kiss him on the lips this time.
According to Bob, he has drunk paint by accident at least once. ("Drumforgiven")
Sometimes he stays in the biography section of the local library to listen to Frank/The Wizard of Books reading in the children's section as he has "nothing else." ("Y Tu Ga-Ga Tambien")
