Thanksgiving is a real-life holiday that characters celebrate on the fourth Thursday of November every year. The first episode centered on the holiday is "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal," the fifth episode in Season 3 and the twenty-seventh episode overall.
Description[]
People celebrate the holiday to celebrate good events that have happened during the year or things they appreciate.[1] "Now We're Not Cooking with Gas" shows this the best, where Tina has a Thundergirls assignment to have herself and her family write down things they're grateful for. Similarly, "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal" introduces that Bob prepares speeches and toasts for a holiday, and other characters, particularly his family members, do similar things when they gather together for a holiday, like when Linda toasts Bob in "Dawn of the Peck."
As mentioned, family members often meet during Thanksgiving, like how Gayle spends Thanksgiving with her sister and her family in "Turkey in a Can," "Gayle Makin' Bob Sled," and "Now We're Not Cooking with Gas." An essential part of Thanksgiving is the Thanksgiving dinner meal, in which people often serve a turkey with stuffing in it.[1][2] The Belchers appear to have turkey for Thanksgiving in every episode themed on the holiday. As a cook, Bob treasures Thanksgiving, and he believes the Thanksgiving meal is the "most important meal of the year" ("Thanks-hoarding"). Families might invite other people to their meals, like how Teddy and Mort have a Thanksgiving meal with the Belchers at their apartment in "Turkey in a Can," or how Teddy, Regular Sized Rudy, and Mickey do the same in "Dawn of the Peck."
People associate Black Friday with Thanksgiving because it occurs on the fourth Friday of November every year, the day after the holiday. Louise mentions the occasion in "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal."

Trivia[]
- Season 14 is the first season since Season 2 not to have an episode themed on the holiday. The same goes for a Halloween-themed episode.
- "Gayle Makin' Bob Sled" is the furthest episode to air from the day of the holiday on its respective year, airing 18 days before the holiday.
- The holiday gets mentioned in "Christmas in the Car" and "FOMO You Didn't."
- The beginning of "Christmas in the Car" occurs on Halloween and the holiday, but most of the episode takes place on Christmas Eve.
- A cutaway in "The Cook, the Steve, the Gayle, & Her Lover" featuring holidays that Mr. Frond and Gayle celebrate with the Belchers includes the holiday.
- The holiday is Bob's favorite holiday, and he also thought it was his family's favorite holiday ("An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal"). However, according to a ranking of holidays by Louise, with some input from Tina and Gene, their favorite "holiday" is Louise's birthday, while Thanksgiving is their 21st favorite holiday. Linda's favorite holiday is Christmas. ("Have Yourself a Maily Linda Christmas")
- "The Quirk-ducers" suggests that Mr. Frond hosts a play about the holiday the day before the holiday at Wagstaff every year.
- The manager of Mystery Planet World hopes that mini-golf will be a popular activity on the holiday, like going to the movies on Christmas and bowling on Mother's Day. ("Putts-giving")
