- The title is a reference to the 1978 documentary movie The Lost City of Atlantis.
- The Belchers mention Linda's maternal grandfather, Burt Rinaldi, and "Grandpa Potato," the nickname Bob unintentionally comes up for him in "The Quirk-ducers." They call her paternal grandfather "Grandpa Sweet Potato."
- Although the title references Atlantic City, which is a casino resort, it is not mentioned that this is where the episode takes place.

- On September 26, 2024, before starring in the episode, actress Maggie Wheeler revealed she did voice-over work for the show.[2]
