• The title is a reference to the 1965 song These Boots Are Made for Walkin'.
• First episode to be written by Lindsey Stoddart after joining the show's writing staff.
• David Herman's name is listed as "Dave Herman" on the cast credits. The only other episode to do so is "The (Raccoon) King and I."
• The Mud Stains song "Middle Finger" was released as a single the day after the episode premiered. Spotify link.
• Bob's inability to tie a Windsor knot for Gene could be seen as a callback to his challenges in tying knots previously established in "Frigate Me Knot."
• The Sofa Queen commercial from "Sacred Couch" can be seen on the Belchers' TV.

Goofs

• When the Pest Control Truck pulls up in the opening sequence, the chassis of the truck appears smaller and the reflected window is overlapping with it.
• The final "e" featured on developer Jim Dauterive's 'Developed by' credit appears in a different font to the rest of the credits.
• When Tina is shown from behind writing in her diary after the "I Hate Waiting for Crap to Happen" montage she is wearing her normal clothes instead of her new ones which then appear when the shot changes. It's possible that it is re-used footage from when Tina is first writing in her diary after the 'ONE WEEK AGO' insert.
• In the breakfast scene of the montage where Tina recovers from her incident at the Greece, Too Diner, Bob and Linda's food is the dinner they ate in the montage with The Mud Stain's "I Hate Waiting for Crap to Happen" song playing, even though the preceding shot shows the entire family showed them eating bacon and eggs together.
