• The script cover shows the family looking inside a can.
• First episode to feature the 20th Century Fox Television closing logo graphic without the "A News Corporation Company" byline following Fox's split from News Corporation in June 2013.
• This episode marks the first time Bob gives a pun to a creation of his other than a burger, in this episode his Thanksgiving turkey is named the "Father of the Brine," a play on the 1991 film Father of the Bride.
• This episode reveals that Bob potty trained all his kids because Linda couldn't handle the smell.
• Teddy reveals that his father potty trained him when he was seven and finally got the hang of it when he was 14.

Goofs

• When Bob is trying to get members of the family to confess to sabotaging the turkey it appears on the coffee table in the first shot, disappears in the second and then reappears in the third before Bob removes it in the fourth.
• When Linda states that she needs to "re-odorize," she should have said "re-deodorize."
